Aidan Barrett Taupo racing his 13bb rotary rx7

Aidan Barrett has been racing this RX7 for the past 7 years now. Spending most weekends at his father's garage John Barrett motors working on the car. The RX7 has a 13B rotary engine capable of speeds up to 190 mile per hour. According to Aiden the car took over $150,000 to build and restore and then is his pride enjoy. Recently Aiden Barrett has been in the Facebook news and views with allegations of scamming which weekend confirm has taken place. March this year he sold a car knowing it to be unsafe to a very poor guy and basically scam the poor guy out of $3,000 cash for a car that wasn't even driveable. Mr Barrett then contacted his lawyers Lance Lawson law Rotorua and told him to issue the poor guy with a cease and desist letter when he asked for a partial refund for repairs to be done to the vehicle. After speaking with the poor person it's going to take him another 2 years to get another vehicle and we think Aiden should do the right thing and just pay him back. From day 1 it had a crack control arm, the low beam headlights didn't work, the big end bearing on the vehicle failed spitting the piston out the side of the engine housing and from day 1 the car was a complete lemon. We try to make contact with Aiden Barrett to get his side of the story and was told that he would repair refusing all for communications from us and that all communications had to be put through his lawyer. We had a mechanic basically look the vehicle over and that car was unsafe to drive from day 1 and according to the person that birches the vehicle when he bought the car Aiden Barrett said that he run a mechanics business and it was hard to get mechanics in the car was sound and nothing mechanically wrong with it which is misleading statement which is actually illegal to do when you're selling a car even if it is a private sale. And this is the real kicker about this party the guy that bought the cars so poor that he can't actually afford to buy another car and he needed that car because he had a disability and was issued by Aiden that the car was mechanically sound and there were no issues with it and needed that vehicle to get around basically to doctor's appointments and to see his specialist and now doesn't even have a vehicle and will basically have to hitchhike to his specialist appointment's so we think that's quite disgusting Aiden
